Ernie How does a banner prove it wasn't a minority? How do you know it wasn't a media staged stunt made to look like it was fan supported. I went to every game home and away that season, and no one from the North Bank or the West Stand booed or shouted for Lyall to be out, and when we caught someone painting on the wall outside, they'd been paid by the Mirror! It was common knowledge amongst the support at the time. You're not old enough to be senile and not young enough to be stupid. You shouldn't believe every fairy story b y those that are.

And all this shit about modern fans. In the 80s we had pitch battles with he old bill outside the West Side protesting against Lyall and the board. Lyall Out was much bigger than anything Fatty got, and he was a man that had one the FA cup.

Johnson, with respect, this is the 21st Century. Nearly everybody is easily offended and lacking in character. These young men are good at kicking a ball in the general direction they wish it to travel, but when you hear them interviewed, you can tell they ain't winning many games of Scrabble. Their off-duty tastes and pursuits do not incline one to suppose their outlook and behaviour would trouble the legend of Captain Oates.

We've played 9 competitive games. Our top striker has been nicked, all the rest are crippled, one of them has publicly lambasted the club, our ex-captain was deemed first choice kn Saturday and paid to leave a few days later, our manager was 6th choice and subs one of his begets signings after 30 minutes. We've been beaten by two f the favourites for relegation and a bunch of postmen fr Malta and Romania.
My knees are jerking like Shaking Stevens on an E.
More to rhe point, all this threads telling people not to panic are clearly borne from a massive fear that we are fucked. I've been on aeroplanes hundreds of times and nobody has ever told me not to panic, the minute someone does, I'll know we are fucked.

However as we're all told not to believe or take to heart anything that comes out of the club or the children then I would assume that works the same ways for the players.

Spot on, I'm old school, I was brought up to SUPPORT the club through thick and thin and our fans were renowned for their wit in the face of adversity, and believe me, we've had some adverse times, now we have consumers who view the whole thing as a fucking product

Nurse this site over the last couple of yrs has become fans that dont go slagging off and whining about those that do that spend a fortune following the club and are rightly fucked off when we lose shit games.
As for booing never done it myself but how some cunt sat on his sofa can have a go at someone thats actualy gone to the game and has become so frustrated at watching shit yet again so they boo at ft is beyond me.

The ridiculous booing in both home games so far would defo have an effect though. It's almost as if it's a stock response to either going a goal down, or being behind at half time.
Worse than Spurs at the moment we are. At least they've actually won stuff in the last few decades.

Only 3 games but from the evidence Billic looks more canny setting up the team to defend and counter attack away from home than at home where the onus is on us to attack.
I guess we'll know more after tomorrow's game and the next home game.
We still don't know if the Arse game was a one off with them just starting the season badly?
